jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine

we ride at midday

I managed to snag two things from the recently launched (and ended) Missoni for Target line. I arrived at 9:00 PM and there was still a sweater and ballet flats left. Epic win.

I've also been raiding my mom's closet and I found these great shirts. They were made in India (indie, haha no) and they are really nice for this kind of weather. I've been getting complements and I feel so great.

the trip back

Hi everybody! Sorry, I've only been back for about 1 1/2 weeks and school started (A.P. US History), so I haven't been blogging as much, but I needed to do this, so here goes.We left Ulan-Ude on the morning of Sunday, August 21, on an aging Yakutia airlines plane. Let me just say that there's a reason why Yakutia is the cheaper airline. No air conditioning, no leg space whatsoever, and possibly the rudest flight attendants on Earth. This wouldn't have been so bad if the flight wasn't a mind-numbing eight hours long. So I arrived in Moscow with a headache at 2:00 in the afternoon (time zone change, people). We took a nice long taxi ride from Vnykovo Airport to Domodedovo, dropped off our bags at left luggage (after carrying them up and down several flights of stairs, as Russians don't believe in elevators most of the time), and went to the Red Square.

Why do all my pictures look like this/

Rain.

Subway

This is McDonald's. Notice the metal detectors at the far right.

And the security guards.

Had to wait 30 minutes for a table.

Oh, you Korean tourists and your yellow jackets.

GUM (Large department store)

Cannot afford these things.

Or these.

Or these.

Or these.
Or these.

Lenin's tomb

You had to toss coins here for good luck.

After this fun excursion, we took the train back to Domodedovo and got on our three-hour flight to Dusseldorf. We spent the night there and left the next morning.

They give you CANDY. Awesome.

They had a park behind the hotel.

We got on the flight normally, but then they announced that there would be no in-flight movies or TV shows. I think my heart stopped beating for about three seconds. They started passing out Newsweek and Time, so I read for about an hour, when suddenly, miracle of miracles, the movies started working. I watched Thor and Water for Elephants and a bunch of random TV shows. We arrived in Newark, stayed there for about four hours, flew to Detroit (we were VERY late), and finally flew to Cleveland. Home sweet home.
